I was hoping to find some support groups for grief and/or cancer in southern Maine.

A close family member unfortunately.

Look into the Dempsey Center. Their mission is to help those affected by cancer and their families. https://www.dempseycenter.org/

I second the Dempsey center recommendation.

I watched my mom succumb to cancer over a period of two years. So while I don't know exactly what you're going through (everyone's situation is different), I probably know enough to lend an ear.

Center for Grieving Children has a bunch of different types of support services for children, young adults, young partners, etc.

There's also Man Up to Cancer support for men.

Local hospital most likely has grief counselor or clergy that will have a resource list.

I wish you well with your grief process.
