What kind of food do you like? Are you by yourself or do you have friends with you?
If you have some friends with you and you all like seafood, then head over the river to Brewer and check out the Eagle's nest. The seafood platter they serve costs like $50, but it will feed like three or four people (seriously, the platter takes up like half the table). It comes with haddock, clams, shrimp, and scallops.
If you're looking for cheap lunch and like Mexican food, then Las Palapas is the answer.
Asian food? I'm quite partial to Green Tea and (once again, over the river in Brewer) Yoshi (try the phở, it's absolutely delicious!). I've had good food closer to downtown at Ichiban as well. The Oriental Jade used to be fantastic, but I haven't been in years, so I don't know if it's as good as it used to be.
Lazy Hound in downtown. Best cheese steak in the city!
Food: Masons Brewing in Brewer
To Do: Stephen Kings house, Pro Libris Bookshop, look for Dallas Seger, luthier extraordinaire.
This place is amazing - don't miss it! http://www.therockandartshop.com/
Diamonds has a good breakfast buffet
Especially if it’s nice enough to sit outside by the river
A short drive away there’s the Orono bog walk if you like hiking! Rock and Art shop is great. Umami Noodle Bar has good Asian eats if you like noodle bowls and fried dumplings. Seadog is another great restaurant. There’s a comic shop and some neat antique shops. Lots of cafes and such. Urban Air in the Airport mall has a cool arcade. (:
Pro Libris book shop
Bangor Public Library downtown is GORGEOUS
Paddy Murphys downtown has amazing food and is a great spot to sit and watch the downtown square.
Bagel Central for breakfast/coffee
Thomas Hill standpipe

The crackheads under the bridge by sea dog
Hey you. Yes show off your people smoking pills underneath the bridge at sea dog.
Damn do I really live in your head rent free like that?
Green Tea is a bastion of Human right violations. My wife worked there for a a few months and saw some shit.
Thanks for posting. Was considering trying them. Think I'll pass.
Do you like beer? If so, Geaghans. I will ardently defend it as the best brewery in the state. Great food in the restaurant too. Personal recommendation: get the reserve wings and a Smiling Irish Bastard.

It’s going to be a nice sunny day, definitely Bangor City Forest off of Stillwater.
