This looks like a phone picture using simulated focus blur. Note the inexplicably in-focus section at the top of the image- I don’t think that’s natural

Interesting, I was wondering about the apparently random focus parts! I’m not a good photographer, clearly!

Haha, yeah I'm not sure why it focused how it did. I didn't spend much time messing around with it.

Phone. Samsung Galaxy Note 10÷. Portrait mode let's you mess with the focus easily and there's tons of other options. For thjs I literally just took the photo, the focus is weird in the top right, but I like it anyway. No effort.
I also have a Nikon that does an amazing job and is very user friendly. I have the basic wide angle lens and a telephoto lens (for macro/up close). I use that when I'm planning on actually having a photography outing. The video option is also amazing. I sit and take photos of birds at my feeder all winter and it's endless amusement.

That’s awesome. We’ve got some bluebirds that came during lockdown and we get to watch them all summer.

I’m bad at photography, and take pics with my iPhone. Was this an SLR using close focus or is this something I could do with my phone?
Great pic, btw
