I’m twice your age and I know that it’s been around forever and a curiosity to people, especially those who are inclined to do recreational drugs. There’s always been this hope that we can find magic in the things that make us feel good, like on our days off. There’s still needs to be a lot of research. Keep in mind that the United States went through a period of time where we felt like cocaine was medicinal.

It’s showing very good promise in trials. I would never prevent someone with a potentially terminal illness (treatment-resistant depression) from using a drug that has shown promise in trials but is not yet fully approved.

Whoop....there it is. Put down that boomer mentality of "all drugs bad" and understand that medicine has many forms. Mental as well as physical well-being can be improved through new means.

Yea, I wasn’t even bringing my age into my comment as a way to say ‘I have been here longer than you and therefore know more than you’ but to give some context that I’ve undergone traditional treatment my entire life with many different providers and have tried so many medications since I was a child, that I’ve lost count.
