lol it's January in New England, my dude, get a pizza and curl up in a blanket and check back in like April.

Kidding, kidding. Sorry. Been a day.

there's a valentines day themed market at Mill 5 next weekend:

And open studios at Western Ave:

Winterfest is the next big town-run thing, I think. That's a couple weekend out tho.

varies WILDLY year to year. It's the sort of event that lets local politicians and business people grease each other up in public-but-private events and then walk out hoping not to be stopped on the street.

Worst-case it's an excuse to get drunk in a tent with people you sort of recognize.

Back in the day you'd be in for human dogsled races. That...is not a thing I would've believed existed had I not seen them with my own eyes.

Go hiking! Lowell-Dracut-Tyngsboro State Forest is really nice and there are a lot of other great trails nearby.

Bar hopping is quite the adventure here. Be sure to tip your bartender.

Isn't there a bowling alley near the rickety(est) bridge? Bowl a few strings and play some DDR like it's 2004

They did back in 2006 at least... Only places I can confidently say that have it these days are the Acton Bowladrome and FunWorld in Nashua. Fingers crossed for Lowell though!
