I asked them Rhey said just keep trying. If I don't urinate I will get a catheter. That makes me scared and I just try to piss right now.
Yes but ask them for tips and help and education vs just trying.
Nothing to be scared of with a catheter. You can insist numbing jelly or lidocaine so you don't feel anything or as much with the insertion.
You can try a hot but not burning compress. Or run hot water over your junk in the shower. If you haven't been drinking much you may need to drink more.
Sorry, dont have much to offer. I recently had abdominal surgery and had to piss right after waking up. Nurse gave me a funnel and it took a few mins to actually go, but it happened. Wasnt trying to force it or anything.
I have some questions
2.How long ago did they take out the catheter if you had one before ?
3.how long have you felt the urge and cant pee?
Ask them to bladder scan you.
AND It's in your best interest to let your Nurses and Doctors know about this.

Instead of putting your hand in warm water try getting a water bottle of some kind and running warm water over your vagina while sitting on the toilet.
Im laying in bed, cant move and do not own a vagina as mentioned by mentioning my sexe as male. Thanks for the tip though.
Try sitting? Opiates will make shitting rough too. Get some stool softener ASAP
Not allowed to sit. Back surgery spinal canal š«
Fucking rough, sorry mate. Prayers for your recovery
Thank you very much!
You probably need to relax in a way you probably havenāt in a while. If you are used to stressing/flexing your lower abdominal or bladder muscles to pee, that may not work. Instead, you need to find a way to fully relax those muscles and the pee should just kinda āfallā out.
FWIW Iāve had a cath, itās REALLY not as bad as you think.
If they are willing, you can also ask for a Texas catheter, which is like a sturdy condom that goes over your business instead of a tube that enters your urethra.

Mate, you're asking the internet for a pro tip about pissing when you have the best pro tips taking care of you.
Ask your RN how how they can help or provide education. Legit. That's what they are there for!
Source: am RN. We know a lot of shit.
