Update: Clarification: set your alarm sound to max, put the bag(it can be just a plastic bag)/backpack/sock as far away from your bed in your room as possible, so that you need to get up to get to the phone/alarm clock. As for the role of mementoes, when you are groggy trying to snooze the alarm and then touch an item that associates with something important to you, be it your values, dreams or quotes - whichever - it helps you reason with your sleepy self to not to go back to bed.
This lpt is not bulletproof, but it increases your chances of not going back to bed.
