On mine if you press 161885 STOP it doesn't do anything unless it was already running.

[Kenmore] The only thing holding down any buttons did on mine was to lock the controls. Fortunately doing the same thing again unlocked them, or I would have felt trolled!

Mine has a mute button. 🤷‍♀️

LPT: if you hold down 2 on your microwave until it beeps it will stop the microwave from beeping once the heating cycle ends.
