I stayed in the cheapest room in a fancy downtown hotel a few years ago. The lobby was breathtaking, the knob to control the shower fell off in my hand. What’s your experience with staying in an expensive room in a cheap hotel? Is it cleaner and better maintained than the rest of the place, do you think?

Bed Bugs. One is all over them and the other one cuts corners.

Life pro tip… don’t value an opinionated statement on this sub as it is no more than a random thought of someone on the internet

I've stayed in the best room of various cheap hotels and it's still pretty similar to their regular rooms. The extra amenities for the better room is rarely worth it in my experience.
