Or just don’t announce things in general. Nobody needs to know what you ate for lunch or what your exercise routine is. Lust for approval on social media is bad for your health.
Different strokes for different folks. I usualy tell close friends and family of my plans, I'm a terrible procrastinator and knowing that my friends/family are expecting me to do what I've said spurs me on, it really helps me. Remember, everyone works differently.
