If you use/used the "Thank my driver" feature that Amazon is promoting, the Amazon app requires you to allow Alexa access to your microphone. Here's how to disable it afterward:

Disable Alexa in the Amazon Shopping App

Go to Menu in the Amazon Shopping app

Go to Settings and tap Alexa

Tap Go to Permissions

Scroll down to Microphone and turn off Alexa

Why the fuck would you thank the driver? Just say it in the yard or let them go. They don't want to talk to you.

If they do it through the app like that, the driver gets a tip that is paid by Amazon. They need to physically say it to Alexa in order for the driver to get that tip. It’s some type of promotion that’s going on right now, but will probably end by the new year.
