Found out the hard way - we’re a mid-40s couple who have just had our wool suits / coats decimated due to storing them with no mothballs. I always assumed clothes moths were something from comic books. Nope.

Cedar is easier on your clothes than naphthalene mothballs!

I have a bunch of wool but only had one sweater eaten over the years. I think aromatic cedar is the way to go, I just don't need it, don't know why

Moths destroyed a Persian rug we bought in Iran in the late 60’s. Had it on the floor in a craft room. Found the damage when moving.
