When it really gets cold, plumbers always advise you to wrap your pipes in some foam insulation. But, recently there has been a run on pipe insulation and its been in short supply. You can substitute a pool noodle instead. A pool noodle is basically a bunch of foam in a round form. All you have to do is split it down the middle and wrap it around the pipe. It will do as a substitute until you can obtain actual pipe insulation.

I hope someone posts a LPT on where to find summer seasonal products during the winter.

Ah - they are in my garage.

Sorry if this is a repost, I didn’t know. I just used this method a few days ago to protect my pipes. We just had some really frigid weather and pipe insulation couldn’t be found. Guy at big box hardware store recommended it.

It's been on here everyday for weeks and it keeps getting reposted from last year, the year before that, etc etc ad nauseam.

It's a pro tip sub for tips people didn't know. How do you expect people to learn about something if it can't be reposted? How is anybody supposed to search for something they don't know about?
