This is all correct information but idk if it qualifies as a LPT.
Don't tell me how to eat sugar!
I’m American and just as confused. Don’t use banana pudding in banana pudding? What does that even mean?
"Banana Pudding" as a "thing" is a traditional recipe invented by either Moms, Grandmas, or Nabisco many years ago that revolves around Nabisco Vanilla Wafers. The recipe is made from scratch, with eggs etc. to make your custard as you go, so I have no idea why anyone is trying to make it using already made banana pudding or pudding mix.
It means that instant banana flavored pudding is awful and will ruin a dessert called "banana pudding". The "banana pudding" gets its banana flavor from sliced bananas included as a main ingredient and they don't need any help.
I guess the word pudding means something different in Britain
Oh duh lol. Maybe you call it Jello? It's close to custard.
