Reminder: WD40 is a lubricant by coincidence - NOT design.
Use 3-in-1 oil, it’s a lot damn cheaper and works a lot better.

Not really, unless you count ruining your door hinges by bashing them with a hammer a practical reason.

WD40 will eventually dry out, whereas realigning the hinges is a permanent solution (if the problem has to do with misaligned hinges in the first place).
