LPT: If your pet is being put down and you have the option to be there by their side, don’t hesitate.

It may be tough and it may hurt beyond anything you’ve ever experienced up to this point…but think about your animal. You don’t want their last minutes to be of them looking for you wondering why you’re not by their side. They’ve always been by yours. Be strong for them so they can leave this world knowing they weren’t alone when they left.

Edit: another excellent option that was presented in the comments is to have a vet come to your home and put your pet down in their favorite place. This is an excellent idea and would recommend this if it is an option to you.
