Agreed. If it’s rock hard, the avocado isn’t ready. If it gives slightly, it’s ready. If it gives easily, it’s likely over ripe.

No need to pick at the produce. lol

LPT: To know if an avocado is ready to eat, peel back the little round stem at the top of it. If it comes away easily and what’s underneath is green - it’s ripe.
