No but I really thought it was because of things like the Scandinavian cross and stuff like that

Cross is typical for Nordic countries which include also Iceland which isn't part of scandinavia.

Scandinavia is the mountain range between Sweden and Norway and only countries connected to that mountain range are called Scandinavian.
