As a Tokyo subway employee, I also press cans all day.

If you think your job is senseless, think of the poor sods attaching blinkers on Aud's (or BMW's for that matter) 😂

At the end of the line at our candy factory, I take the fudge off and put it into boxes.

I can never tell people what my job title is.

You're a technician at the mammogram clinic?

SquidgyTheWhale t1_itmz1ab wrote

It's no more fun filling them up. A lot of people quit, just because they can.

A mammography technician presses cans all day too!

When people ask me what my wife does, I tell them it's complicated;

she's a pheasant plucker, you see? She plucks mother pheasants. She's the most pleasant mother pheasant plucker to ever pluck a mother pheasant.

Add in dead bait and dog shit and you get the average garbage can near a boat launch/Park. I used to empty the garbage cans around different parks. Those were always the worst. Worms and chicken livers rotting in their own juices in the summer heat have an unforgettable smell when mixed with old beer bouquet.

I've worked on a factory line sorting and grading fruit. It is mind-numbingly dull and strongly hypnotic. Then the line gets halted for your mandated break ... and everyone stumbles one step to the left.

I had to fill in at my dad's pheasant plucking job when he took a break . They asked who I was and I said, 'I'm not the pheasant pucker, I'm the pheasant pluckers son, I'm only plucking pheasants until the pheasant plucker comes'.

Just leaves me flat. In fact, it's so depressing I want to jump into traffic. I'd be car-bonnetted.

Can agree. I was an intern but there was one time where everyone that is present in the factory is needed to be involved in sorting a mass production product. After the belt conveyor stops, I'm seeing things moving left. It got to my mind thinking about those factory workers, wondering how they're able to keep on working in this condition for years.
