ATC has some traffic building up and there are three planes that need to land quickly. The first two planes have male pilots and the third plane has female pilots.

ATC to first plane: “we need you to keep your speed up for landing traffic behind you.

First pilot responds: “you got it, balls to the wall”

ATC relays the same message to the second plane and the captain again responds with “roger, balls to the wall”

Just then the captain of the third plane chimes in and says “before you even ask, the best we can give you is wide open.”

Balls to the wall is a phrase for doing anything to the extreme, such as full throttle on a plane, and keeping the throttle "wide open" also means full throttle.

I assume this is because if the throttle was a valve, the most fuel would be flowing (and you'd be going the fastest) if the valve is 'wide open.'

I really hope I don't have to explain that women don't have balls, and if you don't get what else 'wide open' could mean when talking about women, I'm not the one who should tell you.
