I've heard of drivers hooking up with their passengers. One dude driver I met, admitted he would hookup at least once or twice a week with intoxicated women. I thought it was wild, but couldn't help to think if any of these women would report his ass. How common are these cases and do they get reported with Uber? Share any crazy stories.

Common. They have happened to my female friends, and they have happened with other women (and men), consensual or not. This was actually one of the more common incidents within the Uber app.

Rape is common. I have heard of women waking up in motel rooms alone with their driver long gone. This luckily was reported and the driver was busted. Police action was taken and he was, of course, banned from using the app in any capacity, forever.

Man this is crazy, you all would issue credit or notify law enforcement?

We would never issue credit, which I agree with completely. I think issuing Uber credit devalues what the user went through "Here have some Uber Bux to lessen the pain of being sexually assaulted" but we did refund the trip, assure the user the driver was banned and contact law enforcement and work with them as needed.

Wild on so many levels. I'm curious if this would happen to dude passengers with female drivers too?
