Hi Hartford! I am up from Georgia visiting my sweet husband. While here I am taking a lovely girl's senior pictures of a family that he's grown close with, I'm actually doing these today. My husbands apartment is in Frog Hollow area, and we have a hockey game to attend this evening. We're picking up the senior this afternoon.
I'm hoping that those of you who live here can guide me to some safe, great locations that are fairly close to frog hollow that have some stairs, simple lines, and maybe some color?

This is the answer. Gorgeous shot at the top of the hill with the city skyline in the background.

Doing it at the State Capitol building would be legendary. You could take pics at the memorial arch too.

The marble staircase inside City Hall is beautiful, but I am not sure if you need permission to photograph in there. Go on hartford.gov and contact the Office of Community Engagement, if they can’t answer that question for you they will send you to the correct department. They are very helpful. Mention that your husband is a resident of Frog Hollow.

State Library and Museum is right across from the Capitol, has an awesome set of steps, and is open on Saturday
