You sound like YOU are the problem. (No offense, hear me out.) You're used to losing, so you're not trying to win. Pick your battles, win some small shit and get some momentum going. Get some confidence, and convince yourself that effort pays off. Go get it.

Ok I'll politely sugest you don't know what you are doing, you need to learn the process or technique for the task.
Often we get tangled in the "learn by your mistakes" culture.
I sugest reading or watching YouTube or observing others etc, to understand the task. Use Google to find instructions or procedures, find those task checklists or info graphic diagrams or flow charts etc.
Before starting, asses your knowledge of the task, rehearse procedures to simulate the event and review your ability.
Work with some one and observe what they do and aim to replicate the process. This way you will be more familiar and more confident of the task.
Generally speaking if you don't know, you aren't ready to start, so do some 'homework' and learn, you will know when you're ready...
Cheers..

It’s true. Some of us can only learn to properly measure our success after we learn to look at our failures as experiences rather than something to be ashamed or angry about. Feed that little voice deep in your heart and never give up. You’ll find that perseverance is power and success is what you create with it.
