One of the most annoying problems is that our loved ones often do not notice this "small progress", unaware of how difficult it is for us to take small steps towards success.

Life is both ups and downs, perhaps to better portray payoff for hard work the flag could be at the top of a hill that then slopes down as a reward. Otherwise it is depressing to imagine all of life as an upward grind.

You should be able to return your parents/loved ones at the supermarket. I got a full refund!

Apparently you can tend to get more if both of their kidneys are still working, not really sure how that works though

Yeah, but then she still has to keep pulling it further up, so nothing changed with reaching this "progress".

All dictators do what they want. Just enjoying their life. But at the same time they make the life of others - terrible.🤡 So not only they - the whole world soon will be dead, following such logic and practice...

No. But, as you know, power corrupts. Until you have power, you are an angel, but having unlimited power, it is very difficult not to turn into an evil. Rarely did anyone succeed, except perhaps Marcus Aurelius 🤔 So the history says

I still don't think many people relish the torture of people no matter how much power they wield. I also don't think people in power do it because they like the pain and suffering of the people. They do it because in many cases they have no choice. If it wasn't him/her someone else would be doing it in their stead. I think it is just some assholes and psychopaths who enjoy hurting people.

Putin, Lukashenko and the like had a choice. They did it in favor of personal enrichment and violation of the rights of their citizens. One crime leads to another, even worse. This is how a funnel of evil appears, in which there is no choice. You know the result.

Although, nevertheless, there is a choice. Is it a gun or poison.

Do you think any of those guys would be alive if they did not present themselves as a brutal dictator?

Would you sacrifice your life and your family's well being for other people's rights? They have no choice or the choice has not been made apparent.

Also you have to know that Putin and Luka are just figure heads. There is a whole mechanism of people behind them that operate their dictatorship. And the instant they suspect their position is in jeopardy they will not hesitate to change the leadership with coups.

You can't just blame Hitler. Half of the country was supporting Nazis at that time.

Dictators have always played on people's feelings. Moreover, they chose the basest feelings - hatred, vanity, xenophobia and servility. As a Belarusian, I'll tell you - Lukashenka's support in my country is no more than 5-7%. And that was Before the war in Ukraine. Now his support has fallen, along with Putin's support, to 1-3%.

The dictatorship has such mechanisms to suppress the will of the people that only an external force can destroy it. So it was with Hitler, as you remember. So what are we talking about? About choice?

Certainly every dictator or autocrat had one in the beginning. It was their choice that brought them to the point of no return. But not the choice of society.
If it were otherwise, then all rulers would become dictators. But it's not like that

It may seem like preaching to the choir because I am not Russian or Belarusian. Here is my take, his support has fallen but he has total control of the military and armed forces. Your support does not matter as long as you have strength to put people in line. All that matter is control.

Now if Lukashenka loses control and does not leave Belarus. He will die. His family will die. Not just him all his supporters will be criminally prosecuted. So his only choice is to suppress. What options does he have?
