One of my fav quotes from a friend is: “I love being wrong. I get to learn something. I welcome it”. I think about it often

People only think this if it’s something they personally see as valid. It’s bs. People go through shit all the time and fight through it but everyone is just like “deal with it”

Plot twist: it's a quote from Elon Musk about his employees.

I’m glad when I looked at most of these comments. I couldn’t figure this one out either. This is not what most people think when they see someone who’s been defeated. They point a lot of blame at them. It is really rare to be viewed this way and usually comes with some pretty hefty strings.

This kind of logic easily works well with democratically minded individuals .... and authoritarian fascist nutjobs

Context: The quote is from Brene Brown’s book “Rising Strong.” Brown is a shame and vulnerability researcher who advocates strongly for emotional vulnerability, openness, and wholeheartedness. When she says ‘your truth,’ she is not advocating unfounded beliefs or anti-science, she is referring to self-expression and emotional honesty.

So, chill. Geez.

Brene Brown is awesome. Thank you for sharing this. I've memorized "The Man in the Arena" speech because of her.
