I feel like this every now and then too.. especially when starting something new. If you’re trying to start a woodworking YouTube channel, you’d imagine that someone will tell you that you don’t have experience what makes you think you could do it etc. and it’s common that this comes from family, friends or even sometimes finding ourselves saying this to people.

But as they say, if you just do it and stick to it, then the feeling fades, as you have “stood the test of time”. After a certain period of time you attain new skill more confidence so this can only come with time. It’s not so easy to change your way of thinking so sometimes the best action is just to weather the storm. After the rain comes the sun, you just gotta trust the process.

It all sounds cheesy I know.

I’m in a new job now, and I feel exactly like you. From a fully functioning person (even equipped with a few good tricks in my pocket or two) in my last job, I’m now back to a baby who’s learning his first new words. But that comes with the “New” and “change” territory. I get anxious and worried everyday, but I’ll stick to it, look forward to the weekends, and always find myself a good sounding board to share my experience or frustrations (I’m glad my family has been of great support and happiness)

But good luck and all the best to the both of us! You are not alone!
