We can reasonably assume that the goals assigned by your boss are ones that are meant to be reached. :)

Don't be ridiculous.

Worst case scenario you can file for unemployment income and apply for a job at another company.

And save money for whenever someone throws you under the bus.

I've had some less than stellar experiences already.
