Doesn't surprise me. Millennials might be the last generation it even sort of mattered for.

I remember its importance being hammered in all throughout... 5th grade?, then I never used it again, except to sign my name.

Before that, I recall just referring to it as "some kind of elvish" and throwing my hands dramatically in the air, because it really did just look like the decorative border on the Sunday announcement flyer to me.

I’m 40 and read/write cursive easily but i have ADHD that font is hard on the eyes regardless.
