I mean except for those dying of cancer.

Or those kids being abused.

Or the people starving to death.

Or the person who's partner just died in a car crash.

Or the parents who's kids have an incurable crippling condition.

I fucking hate this"it all happens for a reason" bullshit.

The sub is getmotivated. Yeah it’s not applicable to a lot of horrific stuff that happens to people but that’s not the point of this post or sub

I wouldn't consider this cooky bullshit to be an effective tool for motivation, especially not beyond the immediate short term.

It does all happen for a reason the mistake is thinking you're a main character or protagonist of a universal story. Life is like a long album with good and bad songs

Ah, you made a statement. Lemme dive deeper into that statement. What's this reason you speak of? Something you can actually articulate? Or just a faint idea

Its an opportunity to have the power to find happiness in the worst possible circumstances. There is nothing more touching or awe inspiring than the power that surrounds someone at peace especially when they have been hurt

Im not playing semantics here, looking at all of this a week later i think this entire argument is too general to come to a definitive conclusion on. There is too much tragedy and too many people projecting said tragedy in any form as well as their outrage into the 'statement' instead of just taking away the positive outlook

Although i do like being questioned because i do think no statement should be made with its meaning so confused that the intent no longer holds its value

Nothing is going to apply to literally everyone. That doesn't mean that it isn't true and useful for the vast majority of people to hear... Comments like this are like somebody posting "if you get a cut you should rinse out the wound, put ointment on it, then apply a bandage", and you replying "oh yeah? Don't think a bandage is about to help with someone's arm being chopped off or somebody getting impaled. Awful advice"

But that’s like literally gods plan.

That’s his grand design.

That’s why a lot of the maturing population (in the US at least - maybe elsewhere as well?) aren’t religious.
