That’s an amazing line. Basically saying a moment can change the world. Very motivating 👍🏻

I can almost guarantee the Buddha did not say this.

Probably not, no way to know for sure. It doesn't detract from the sentiment which is to strive to do good even if it seems too big a task because every moment has a greater impact than you know.

It kinda does detract from the sentiment though. The creator saw the need to (deceptively) name drop in order to give it some credibility, which is decidedly not in the spirit of the message. If it’s a good idea it can stand on its own.
The Buddha would generally not say any of these “I’m 14 and this is deep” kind of platitudes.

Isn’t there a book of quotes the Buddha didn’t say?

This is as valid a quote from Shakyamuni as Jesus Christ being quoted as saying, "The poor can eat a dick. Gimme more guns and titties!"
Both are hollow and smell of feces.
Not to mention, there's no sutta reference.

I have never been one to believe life quotes like that in the past. But these last 3mos have definitely helped me appreciate them a lot more.

There's a website for it at least.

Agree to disagree. I completely understand your point. I just see the merit in trying to spread a message even using a name drop because the message is more important than the delivery. Precisely to avoid your "I'm 14 and this is deep" point. This sentiment is profound in its own way but its simplified to aid in mental digestion. That simplification makes it accessible but dismissable so the tacked on name helps people to take a second and at least try to apply it personally before forgoing its worth.
