Candidate platforms have a lot of internal room that could be used for such purposes. In other roles it gets used for applications like ammunition or infantry transport.

Thats pretty cool, I'm curious if an additional power supply needs to be added to intended vehicles, or if their current onboard specs can easily retrofit the laser. Does the 50kw laser use, well 50 kw per second at full capacity? How much more power is needed for the weapons and targeting system and how much is needed for cooling, or can something like that use a passive system?
