Yes I agree, the presented it horribly for real world use. They are tugging at heart strings to get hype and get people to talk about it. Practical uses would be University biolabs with a touch overlay, executive conference rooms, manufacturing facilities for this gs like visualizing a product before preproduction ect.

It would require special cameras on the far end so would never be used for personal video calls.
