For the investment that goes into the Indian space program, it punches above its weight. Progress is slow and laborious though.

Atmanirbhar means self-reliant.... so it is India's first human space flight without Russian assistance.

My brain decided to read it as first airbnb human space flight (on skim reading while scrolling) and was cool man guess we’re be doing that on holidays now. Was a bit disappointed when my brain started to work and actually read things properly. Cool article still!

FYI... from Wikipedia:

Atmanirbhar Bharat[a] (Devanagari: आत्मनिर्भर भारत) which translates to 'self-reliant India',[8] is a phrase the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi and his government used and popularised in relation to the country's economic development plans. The phrase is an umbrella concept for the Modi government's plans for India to play a larger role in the world economy, and for it to become more efficient, competitive and resilient.

It would be nice if the article provided a definition for Atmanirbhar.

India has way more important things to focus on than space flight.

Way more.
