This is great. I didn't even know this law existed, and it is excellent, thank you for posting op. If everybody's on the gas and no one is on the regulatory and legal breaks, that's when AI becomes very problematic. People are always so wrapped up in the terror of AGI, when the real issue people should be concerned with is AI models that fail (for a variety of reasons) to meet human expectations for ethics and safety - and when that happens at scale, it can be catastrophic. This law moves us in exactly the right direction. And we're going to need a lot more.
