The main function of crypto has always been to make real money and to a lesser degree avoid law enforcement. Both of those things have a target audience so crypto or something similar will continue to exist for a long time. Why some people who are not directly profiting from crypto still desperately seek a use for it is a mystery.

All money used today is in fact also virtual and not real money. That’s what fiat is.
