These are focused ML pipelines; very domain specific parlor tricks. They are not doing open ended AGI. Let's not get too excited.

Specific purpose AI is quite disruptive already. It doesn't need to be AGI to make great changes in society. Cracking self-driving cars would disrupt the whole transport industry, Cooking robots would disrupt all the fast food chains etc.

I do find the idea of intelligence/sapience is a product of multiple specialized systems coming together an interesting one.

It’s about coming up with a solution that has yet to exist. So it’s more than just collecting a bunch of solutions that already exist.

"Domain specific parlor tricks" is exactly what most of us need. Personally I'm excited about the prospect of companies getting a few of these really right.
Also, IMO as investors this is the right place to start.
