How does that work? Do you read to each other? Stay on the same page ‘till you’re both ready to turn it? Each have your own book? Listen to the audiobook together?

I started reading novels out loud to my wife in the evenings about five years ago and haven’t looked back. We’ve read quite a few books in that time.

It’s only weird if you make it weird. Society at large used to be run on verbal storytelling. It’s only been very recently that humanity as a whole has gotten away from being mostly verbal storytellers. We do this instead of watching TV and have discovered it’s far more intimate.

No worries. You did say it’s kind of cool, which it is. I highly recommend reading out loud to your SO if they’re open to it.
