You want to rewrite human nature? Maybe we can just remove all the annoying abilities of the working class so they are mindless thoughtless puppets who can endlessly slave away for the elite. Or what if those very attributes are what allow humans to innovate and live rich fullfilling lives. The moment conflict is gone is the moment all the novelty of life ceases to exist.

Kind of. If we could remove traits that lead to brutal dictators, rapists, torturers, yes.

Deciding arbitrarily what "traits" some random authority deams acceptable. Literal dystopian.

I think an arbitrary approach is misguided. Parts of the world are living in dystopia today.

All approaches would be arbitrary thats the point

If we could pinpoint some genes that enhance peace and empathy, including those would be good for humanity. This is far off if ever possible.
I think if we are around a million years from now we will be far different from what we are now. Taking control of our evolution and likely heavy use of biomedical engineering.

Thats a future I will be glad i dont see. I do not think that equals a better humanity at all. Choice is what makes lofe beautiful. If the point is just peace at the cost of everything then mind as well just end the species
