Unlike airplanes and helicopters, eVTOL (electric vertical takeoff and landing) vehicles offer quick point-to-point personal travel, at least in principle.

The pilot-less vehicles could one day ferry passengers across town high above congested roadways. But the sector still faces major challenges, including battery life, air traffic control and safety, and infrastructure issues.

There aren't enough car crashes on roads? So many bad drivers on roads, but now society wants them airborne too? LOL

They should just have autonomous flying cars. Humans are unpredictable when it comes to driving and hence the accidents.

Yes, i read there are both options. I really like that they are making good progress. It can solve some problems like medical emergencies, flying taxis, etc.

One more dimension bro. I swear one more dimension will solve traffic bro.

There is no universe in which flying cars see mass adoption, because you would just end up with traffic jams in the sky which defeats the purpose of building the flying cars in the first place.

I think the traffic in the sky would be the last of our problems. I wouldn't trust people to keep their flying metal cans in a good condition.
