Agreed it is beautiful! I had never seen Japan have this quality, so I did a reverse image search to try to find the region and I’m not sure this is actually Japan?

Definitely Japan as I live there and took the photo, Japan has countless spots like this, would definitely recommend a visit.

Your picture is great, and even all these images on google maps are beautiful. The scenery of eroding stream banks and mountainous woods reminds me of scenes in the movie Rashomon.

Seems like it may actually be in Pakistan/India regions based on similar shots, but don’t trust me - my geography education was furnished by the US 😅

I dont know this exact spot but Japan definitely has extremely clear water rivers, I saw a lot of them in Hokkaido
