Squamish is a city North of Vancouver British Columbia, on the way to Whistler BC.

It's famous for a large natural rock face known as "the Chief" that has a gondola and was commonly hiked/climbed.

It also has "Shannon Falls" which might be where this is, but it's a big, wide, loud waterfall with a couple pools at the bottom that tourists can get pretty close to.

It's also where The Rock filmed "Walking Tall" with Johnny Knoxville.

Source, grew up there from Kindergarten to Grade 5, always appreciated the place.

Porteau Cove is also a nice place to stop between Vancouver and Squamish.

I appreciate your curiosity but I’d prefer not to disclose exact locations for these things as so many beautiful places have been badly disturbed from people trying to get photos. If you’re desperate to know I could show you in person should you be brave enough.

AKA "Squeamish" The rock face is properly "Stawamus Chief". The gondola runs behind the Chief, and won't take you to its top, which is a mile away and across a small valley from the upper landing.
Squamish has seen a lot of movie production over the years, a favourite of mine being Insomnia, with Al Pacino and Robin Williams. I'd still like to know where these falls are!

More curious than desperate! I'll assume it's a bit of a hike, and a place I wouldn't want to see decorated with beer cans and candy wrappers. Thanks for sharing your beautiful photo with us.

This one involves more than just hiking, at one point you won’t even be walking. Thankfully this spot won’t be found by anyone who’s casually out for a walk or a hike due to its relative remoteness. You’re most welcome for the photo, I’m glad you enjoy it! Take care and be well.

To get to this section of the trail took 15 minutes of hiking. It was very steep and wet, some people waited at the bottom because it was too difficult for them. I didn’t find it difficult, it’s just steep so it can be tiring.

Squamish is absolutely beautiful - worked the music festival there years ago and took a day off to hike up the mountain behind the site - stunning.

You are exactly the person you described. What makes you special to know where this place is, to where someone else can't enjoy it like you did? So freaking pretentious dude. Also, this place isn't as remote as you think it is and someone on this thread will name the location/coordinates.

Pretty sure this is off the Echo Lake Trail.
