If anyone has watched any of the early seasons of that tv show Alone (currently on prime video) Josef Bay is about 30km north of the general area that show was filmed.

We spent a week camping there! Absolutely amazing but we were unaware that fresh water was only durning low tide. Lol live and learn. We cannot wait to go back.

Cape Scott Provincial Park and the North Coast Trail that goes through it is absolutely epic. Sea wolves, bears, eagles, huge trees, expansive empty beaches, you'll see it all. Even though we hiked through in the summer we barely saw a soul. Just beware the trail can be a very tough slog. Expect mud, rain, cooler temperatures and lots of wind no matter what.

San Josef (with an "e") Bay is up at the top of Vancouver Island, and is remarkably remote. In fact, a lot of the island is unpopulated and old logging roads the only access, if any.

This is an incredible photo!

But does anyone else see the Guy Fawkes face in the water ripples? Almost center of the pic, right next to the rock structure

This is why I love living in Port Hardy now, if more people moved here and this place became more developed I think it would be a very nice place to live with lots of beautiful scenery close by such as this

I fondly remember visiting that area years back. Was very lucky to have perfect weather in early spring and the logging roads were as good as they could be.
