Should be renamed Axehead Cove. But great shot either way!

I went here 6 years ago, back when I had a shitty phone and no pictures anywhere near this good! Hiked all the way down to the beach and saw lots of dead purple jellyfish. And that was just the first of many interesting wildlife I saw in Oz. Such an amazing trip!

Must be time to go back then? It's definitely a beautiful location

Awesome pic. I walked to the bay on my first full day on holiday in Tasmania, back in 2005. Very hungover after polishing off a bottle of Highland Park 10 year old the night before with the mate I was meeting up with.
Great memories.

Thankyou! Sounds like you had a great time as well :) I could have used a bottle of that as well at the top in celebration! Haha

Your photo inspired me to get in touch with the mate in question. Haven't seen him for just shy of three years. Meeting for a beer next month. ππΌ

Went there almost 20 years ago when I was in this exchange program. Beautiful place. How I miss Australia π¦πΊπ

Yes it was great indeed. Worked on a dairy farm in South Australia for 8 months, then I traveled for a month. Went down to Melbourne by bus, flew to Tasmania for a short week and then up to Cairns and worked out way down to Sydney. Had a absolutt blast, skydiving onto a beach on the gold coast was the highlight of the tripp.

Stunning. I climbed up there pretty much 25 years ago for the same view. Thanks for the memories!

It sure is. Thereβs so many wonderful trails in Tassie. I live in the UK now, but loved the few weeks I spent there. I was travelling with a fella I met on the ferry over. We hired a bright orange old style VW Beetle and toured around hiking and walking the whole island. Loved it.

That sounds like such a cool experience!

I got up at 3 am to hike to the top of Mt Amos and arrived just in time to see this beautiful scene! Totally worth the effort
