Did a quick search on Death Valley weather, and the average rainfall for a year is just over 2 inches. Pretty dry place in general due to the mountains affecting the climate. Thanks for the reply!

Yeah, I noticed that when the rain stopped the ground sucked it up pretty quick. It has a bad tendency to pool when it does rain though. Lots of flash flooding that disappears quick when it does rain heavily out there. It did feel unique to be there when it rained.
