Could just be the angle of the picture + fluvial erosion that make it look this way, but this looks like a massive strike-slip fault.

This is an awesome picture.

A pic what it's normally looking like would have been great. Quite stunning too, I guess. I love when usually pretty dry areas awaken from their Sleeping Beauty slumber.
