You'll find you can do a lot yourself if you have the courage to learn. Each new task you never did before always seems daunting at first. Do your research and then decide if you can handle it.
So true. Then each time you can take on something more difficult until your holding your house up on bottle jacks!
Did the same thing this weekend. $17 part from Home Depot. Wasn’t super easy - 20 yr old faucet
Just try....there's tons of YouTube videos and resources out there. Study, take your time, and you can do many things around the house and save money. Obviously, there are certain projects that should be left to the experts. But the usual homeowner stuff can usually be conquered by us regular folks
Oh yes Mine is super old too, more than 20 infact
Oh yeah electricity is something else

Yeah definitely, I agree
Good for you. Now that you've fixed that, you can build upon it, and fix/make other things. Remember YouTube is a great resource, so if you're ever in doubt about whether or not you can do something, check YouTube before you call in an expert.
Good job! I learned a bunch of diy stuff myself when I bought my 100 year old home and now I have applied that into a career. Keep at it and who knows what else you can tackle!

That’s something to be proud of. I’ll fix a lot of things on my own around the house, but I won’t touch plumbing (or electric). Mistakes way too costly.
