Get a self tapping screw of a slightly thicker diameter. Take a drill bit and widen the metal hole if needed.

Looks like your screwing into plastic, a larger screw might split that.

I know you say it's the oven door, but from the photo I can't tell.

Does this screw bare load or just hold the 2 pieces together? How hot does this area get? is it inside the oven when closed?

try shooting some liquid nail or something in the hole and then screw into that.

Superglue a toothpick in. The screw will grab the wood just fine. If you have the cheap flat toothpicks put one on each side.

Or you can fill the hole with cotton, then saturate the cotton with superglue . After it dries, drill it out and screw in only screw. This process works well with cupboard hinges.

I would fill it with a 2 part epoxy, let that fully cure then drill it out to fit the original screw.

Break a toothpick flush with the screw hole. Install screw with the toothpick in the hole.

Don't do this. Some types of CA glue soaked into cotton can catch fire.

Almost all CA glue is a fire hazard with cotton, especially fine cotton fibers.

Can confirm. Put drop of superglue on denim to stop fraying. Unexpected exothermic.

I’d use either JB Weld or high temp oven door silicone in the hole.
If using JB Weld etc and you want to be able to remove the screw in future, use a toothpick to spread a layer inside the hole, lightly oil the screw and wind it in, compacting the JB weld around the top of the hole so it’s a good fit. Leave to set. The screw can be unscrewed leaving a new thread because the resin won’t stick to the oil.
Same with the silicone but the thread won’t be as strong.

Baking soda and superglue, look it up.

Fill the hole with rubber cement, let it dry, re-drill the hole with a fine threaded self-tapping screw.
