Tried posting a video but apparently I’m not allowed.. the washing machine in the house I recently moved into is almost perfectly level but will still rattle loudly during the spin cycle of almost all loads. I’ve read it can be the shock absorbers or other things related to the drum. If that’s the case should I try to fix it myself or just get a new one?

Is it a top load. If that is really the problem the suspension rods "shock absorbers" are easy to replace, could even just be a failed rod support/plastic bushing.

Last one I did was able to replace them just lifting/tilting the top up. Others are a little more involved but still easy enough for most.

Google repairclinic and search for your model. They have tons of repair/trouble shooting videos. Their shipping is slow. You could always take the parts number and find them on Amazon for quicker shipping.

then you have springs, still easy enough to do, it may seem overwhelming, but it's literally just unscrewing screws and unplugging plugs. Have the video up on your phone or tablet and just follow along. still google repairclinic

Are the shipping bolts still installed?

Could be the rollers that the drum rides on. Mine went bad and it was about 200-300 to fix.

Mine had a rattling/squeaking sound. It was a long strip of felt (thought it was just dryer lint) but it's what the drum slides/glides on. If it's too worn you'd have metal on metal friction. Easy to replace it it's that.

Front loader is shocks or springs all the way. YouTube video 2 min, first timer? One hour. Willingness to do it? 200%. Good on you. You'll save so much money.

BTW if your unit has part numbers on the pieces it will make your search shorter. Search your unit number and the problem "shaking spin" and you will find tons of videos.
