We are planning to remodel our master bath, but found out that the shower tile was done wrong to begin with and it’s leaking, slowly. Is there a coating/covering, like painting or something, that we can do temporarily until we’re ready for the remodel? We weren’t planning to do the remodel until summer 2023. It’s a small shower, full tile, 4x4 tiles. Grout is cracking, small cracks, and it’s impossible fighting the mold getting in the cracks. So the ideal was to bleach it, rinse, dry, and then do some kind of coating. But what kind?
TL;DR Shower needs tile redone. Not ready yet. Want to paint or coat it temporarily until we can redo it. What coating do we use? Full tile, small shower.

Most important part is the primer. Super clean tiles, good primer and some high quality washroom paint. Won't last forever, but will last few years. Before painting, you would need to redo missing grout. Remove all the loose grout. Fairly simple to redo.
