Sounds like you need a new toilet valve..

Your fill valve is staying open. Might be some crud in it, or its worn irregularly. You can take it apart and check, or try some clr. Let it sit in the tank overnight and flush a few times, see if it stops.

Ah I see, I’ll give this a try with the curl. This is the guest bedroom toilet, literally used once or twice a month at the most. Less than two year old.

Put a piece of toilet paper in the toilet at the back of the bowl. If water is running down it will wash it down into the bowl.
If it is leaking into the bowl then you need to replace the seals. Relatively easy job, plenty of YouTube videos to help

Yeah then it might be more likely a ring of mineral deposit formed and is keeping it stuck open a little. I have hard well water and i gotta do mine every other month or so.

The curious thing is I have 4 toilets and this is the only one that is acting up.

Hard to say. Maybe if its the least used? Check the flapper hole, make sure nothings holding it open and push it down to ensure its sealing, check your cold inlet, make sure its all the way open, and CLR the tank. One of those 3 will fix ya.
